AWC 4th Annual “Best Foot Forward” Community Event!

Walking with Dignity: Community Outreach in Action:

In partnership with Samaritan’s Feet, the Decatur Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The Welcome Co-Op, and Solid Foundation, we distributed new shoes packaged in beautiful tote bags, along with essential hygiene products and diapers to over 300 families in need.

For many of the women we serve, something as simple as a new pair of shoes or a clean set of toiletries is a lifeline—an act of care that reminds them they are seen, supported, and welcomed. Volunteers from our partner organizations joined AWC staff to ensure each woman received not only goods, but a warm greeting, and a listening ear.

We’re grateful to our incredible partners whose generosity and compassion made this day possible. Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community.
