Doris has over seventeen years of management experience working with nonprofit organizations on refugee affairs. She's an experienced subject matter expect on refugee resettlement and integration. At AWC, she provides stewardship support, coordinates day-to-day activities of the organization, and facilitates culturally sensitive programs and services that empower women, refugees, and immigrants in the Clarkston, Atlanta metro-area including parts of Africa.

Doris is successful in introducing strategic operational plans, services and programs to promote health education, research, administration, community engagement, and women empowerment. A sterling background in initiating and implementing culturally appropriate methods of training, program planning, and evaluation, with a strong commitment to promoting health and disease prevention to the most vulnerable populations.

BFA - F.I.T. (Marketing Communications) Over sixteen years of experience in branding and project management.

Plans, develops, and enforces policies and objectives for the organization to ensure it maintains its values and meets established goals. This includes long-term strategic planning, overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks to staff and managing personnel.

Responsible for the over-all financial and operational successes of the organization. Manages AWC projects in Africa and other internal departments such as marketing communications, media relations, social media, and creates public awareness initiatives to ensure that organization is visible to the community and those interested in assisting the organization.

Administrative Director

MPH / Walden University and B.A. in Communications - Daystar University, Kenya.

Oversees the healthy families program and all administrative operations at AWC. Monitors daily operations and supervises AWC cases including help-line. Appropriates needs, resources, and addresses new challenges as they develop. Ensures compliance with program requirements and organizes monthly workshops as planed. Under the direction of the president, Kathu assists AWC and ASA maintain the DV, and SA programs. Works alongside AWC community ambassadors in providing oversight on case management, linkage to care, and follow-up services.
